Latest date to make changes to your method of payment

Generally, we need eight days notice before the pension payday to make any changes to the way that your benefit is paid.

For example, if you changed your bank account and wanted that change to take effect on payday 17 October, you would have to tell us by no later than 10 October.

It is important that when you change your financial institution details, you let us know the following information:

• the name of the new financial institution
• the branch code of that institution (i.e. the BSB number)
• your new account number.

And remember: please don’t close your old account until payments start going into your new account.
