ARIA recognises significant contribution of departing CEO

CEO Lochiel Crafter will be leaving ARIA in September to return to the funds management industry.

In making the announcement, chairman Tony Hyams said: 'It is with regret that I am advising that Lochiel Crafter has tendered his resignation to the Trustee.

'Lochiel has made an enormous contribution to ARIA in the past two years and is held in high regard by trustees, employees and stakeholders.

'Since May 2008, his leadership skill, strategic vision and disciplined focus on members' investment needs have guided ARIA through a period of substantial change and market volatility.

'He leaves ARIA with a robust governance and risk management framework in place and the fund in a strong position for someone new.'

The Trustee will now begin the search for a new CEO.

During the transition period, chief operating officer Peter Carrigy-Ryan will be acting CEO.
